The grant program Talents For Ukraine continues to seek out and reward talented Ukrainians. We are delighted to announce three new winners!

⭐️ Polina Yaryfa – a researcher in atmospheric air pollution and an 11th-grade student. For three years, she has been engaged in scientific activities and is a member of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences. Her project on air pollution by particulate matter and ozone during military operations in Kyiv has been recognized in numerous competitions and international conferences. Her new startup, “Fire impactology,” has already received approval and was first presented at the NASA INTERNATIONAL SPACE APPS CHALLENGE.

“The most interesting aspect of my profession is the opportunity to preserve the health of people and my family,” Polina says.

⭐️ Oleh Nykyforchyn – a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, a professional mathematician who has dedicated most of his life to research and teaching. He focuses on Ukrainianizing mathematical education and writes textbooks and manuals in Ukrainian. His goal is to fill university libraries across the country with Ukrainian-language mathematical educational publications, which are currently in great demand.

“The great advantage of mathematics is objective criteria of truth,” emphasizes Oleg.

⭐️ Mykola Lekhnovskyi – a STEAM expert, head of the ST Lab. Youth Laboratory No. 1. In 2020, Mykola, together with the team of the Lviv Open Lab youth space, launched the STEAM school project. Currently, he heads 2 modern STEAM laboratories (chemical and technological), where training is conducted in chemistry, biotechnology, 3D modeling, robotics, and programming. The main idea of the programs is not only education but also the development of personal competencies. Special attention is also paid to inclusive education and involving persons with disabilities.

“Youth has the potential and energy necessary for innovation and the implementation of innovative ideas. In the modern world, where technologies are rapidly developing and changing, youth entrepreneurship becomes a key factor in societal transformation,” notes Mykola.
