The KSE Foundation funded the training of 10,000 UAV operators – military personnel learned effective drone piloting, countering enemy EW and other warfare technologies at dozens of training centers. And soon another 10,000 pilots will undergo training. Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation, said this during the presentation of the new stage of the Drone Army Academy.

Together with partners, the charity fund of the Kyiv School of Economics has already sent more than 1,500 drones to the front line – they saved hundreds of thousands of people. All thanks to UAV control training. Completion of courses and having the skills to work with quadcopters is a mandatory condition for receiving drones from the Foundation.

Several dozen UAV operator training centers operate in Ukraine. Each of them, who submitted reports for trained operators, receives funding from the KSE Foundation.

Today more than 10,000 new pilots have completed training and received certificates. The Army Drone Academy is starting the second phase of training UAV operators, so another 10,000 professional pilots will join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military personnel will go through theory and practice and learn to fly not only copters, but also FPV drones and aircraft-type drones.

“Thanks to private donors, the Kyiv School of Economics financed the training of 10,000 operators. Funding was received by all schools that submitted reports for trained operators. Now, specialized training of the military personnel is critically important, so we will continue to support schools of drone operators in the future,” – said Tymofiy Mylovanov, president of the Kyiv School of Economics.

Military personnel note that training often becomes more important for them than weapons, because a person performs tasks better and more productively after acquiring high-quality skills. Director of the KSE Foundation Svitlana Denysenko emphasizes that pilot training is not only a contribution to victory, but also to the recovery of Ukraine – the knowledge gained will help to build an innovative future.

“Positions at ground zero are rescue search operations and rapid reconnaissance with the help of drones, the deployment of modern communication systems, the use of spectrum analyzers, countermeasures against enemy EW… This war is a war of technology, and one of the main priorities is to provide our soldiers with a technological advantage on the field battles. Therefore, we not only direct millions of dollars for the purchase of equipment, but also prioritize investments in the training of military personnel, as well as support those who develop the industry of domestic production. For example, today a drone sapper is working on the outskirts of Bakhmut, developed by one of the winners of our grant program,” – says Svitlana Denysenko.
