The localization team of Khan Academy, one of the leading international online platforms, has translated and adapted another educational course for Ukrainian schoolchildren – High School Biology. It has become the fourteenth course on uk.khanacademy.org, with free interactive lessons available in Ukrainian. The project is initiated and coordinated by the KSE Foundation and implemented in cooperation with faculty and students of KSE University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, NaUKMA, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, as well as the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Kyiv Aviation Institute.
The new localized course “High School Biology” is another important step in the development of high-quality free education in Ukrainian. The course was translated and adapted by scientists who not only research but also work with the processes and phenomena described in the course. In particular, the team of localizers included candidates of medical and biological sciences, postgraduate students, students of biotechnology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, as well as volunteers who helped with editing and listening to the materials.

The Khan Academy localization project in Ukraine is a long-term initiative aimed at providing equal access to quality education for Ukrainian students and educators. For more than a year of work, 14 courses of general education disciplines have already been translated – mathematics, chemistry, biology, and economics. More than 70 specialists – teachers, researchers, students, editors, and volunteers – have joined the process at various stages.
The Khan Academy platform is interactive and allows you to catch up on knowledge in the sciences and natural sciences. In addition to uk.khanacademy.org, all educational programs are available in full in the official project application. You can download it on the official page of the online platform, it is free and available to all users of devices with Android and IOS operating systems. It is important to note that all lessons and related materials can be downloaded in advance and viewed without access to the Internet.
