Open Door Rehab: Recovery Spaces
Annually, approximately 200,000 patients in Ukraine require rehabilitation assistance. The KSE Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, signed a memorandum aimed at expanding the network of local outpatient rehabilitation facilities – in hospitals that are located far from regional centers.
The initiative will facilitate access for civilians and military personnel to therapeutic physiotherapy services and ensure their systematic provision.
Services in physical therapy offices are provided to patients who have suffered from severe illnesses, injuries, or traumas. Rehabilitation is free of charge for the individual and is funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine within the framework of the Medical Guarantees Program.
The project is executed in collaboration with the NGO “Office of Professional Support for Recovery,” an organization dedicated to the advancement and establishment of outpatient rehabilitation departments within community structures.
