The jury of the “Talents for Ukraine” grant program from the KSE Foundation has chosen three more winners! Each of them received a grant of 5 thousand dollars for their own development. Among our new winners is a pianist, the author of the Ukrainian bestseller “The Story of an (Un)known Journalist” and the founder of an educational center where teachers, parents and children study together.
Ihor Yanchuk is a minimalist composer, pianist, public figure and founder of the “Dzhem Toloka” movement. For the past 10 years, Ihor has been organizing artistic events – festivals, charity concerts, literary evenings and exhibitions. In just a few years, our winner went from playing street piano near the funicular to performing solo in the 2021 Independence Day Parade! Ihor dreams that the “Piano Funicular” project will become known throughout the world as a place of strength and healing with the help of live music.
Volodymyr Biriukov is a Ukrainian TV and radio presenter, journalist, writer and volunteer. Today, our winner cooperates with the international media in order to convey to the world true information about the crimes of russia. Since the beginning of the war, Volodymyr has collected 4.4 million euros in the Baltic countries for the Armed Forces of Ukraine! His first book, “The Story of an (Un)known Journalist” about how not to write an interview, became a bestseller in Ukraine. Now Volodymyr is preparing its second part under the working title “History of an (Un)known Volunteer”. It will include 16 short stories about people the writer met on his way, about the attitude of residents of distant countries to Ukraine, and about the war.
Iryna Minkovska is the founder and head of educational centers for teachers, parents and children “ME AND MY SCHOOL” in Kharkiv and Kyiv. Over the past two years, the centers have trained 5,000 adults and children! Our winner plans to launch a national internship program for teachers, where 30 teachers will undergo internships in successful Ukrainian enterprises.
