We are excited to introduce two new winners of the Talents for Ukraine grant program from the KSE Foundation—talented AI researchers Yaroslav and Bohdan.

The KSE Foundation actively supports scientists, fostering the development of science and technology in Ukraine. This support is especially significant in light of this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics, awarded for groundbreaking discoveries in machine learning. The laureates developed associative memory capable of storing and retrieving images, as well as a method that autonomously identifies properties in databases and recognizes specific elements in images.

Our winners also have impressive achievements: Yaroslav specializes in developing algorithms that enhance the efficiency of neural networks, while Bohdan focuses on applying machine learning in medical research. Their work underscores the importance of modern technologies and strengthens Ukrainian science, which is an integral part of our mission.

Yaroslav Romanus is a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence, specializing in computer vision, with publications at international conferences. He actively promotes AI as a lecturer and instructor at forums and educational programs. In his work at ADVA Soft, Yaroslav uses neural networks to improve software products. He plans to continue his education at one of the world’s leading universities to further advance AI in Ukraine and believes that investments in technology and international collaboration will foster the country’s integration into the global scientific community.

«To me, success is achieving goals while staying true to oneself», Yaroslav emphasizes.

⭐️Bohdan Hlovatskyi is a scientist specializing in machine learning research, particularly in object segmentation in videos and human body recognition in images. His work has been recognized multiple times at prestigious international conferences, such as WACV. Bohdan is actively involved in AI research and works at the startup DressX, where he develops machine learning algorithms for digital fashion. He also mentors younger students in their research and contributes to the development of the scientific community in Ukraine.

«The story of any success is a journey through numerous ups and downs that must be overcome to achieve results», Bohdan comments.
