PUMB is one of the strategic partners in education during wartime and a longstanding partner of the Kyiv School of Economics. The bank’s team collectively donated $60,000 during the ‘Sustaining Ukraine Through Education’ charity evening organized by the KSE Foundation in Kyiv.

The contribution is one of the largest at the event and will be directed towards funding six education grants for war veterans.

Sergiy Chernenko, the Chairman of the Management Board at PUMB, emphasized, “Veterans returning from war to civilian life need support in adaptation — the opportunity to rediscover themselves and enhance competitiveness in the job market. Quality education is the key to both skill improvement and acquiring a new profession. Our soldiers deserve education in the best universities in Ukraine, such as the Kyiv School of Economics. Ukrainian businesses, including PUMB, are already preparing to employ these talented defenders”.

PUMB made a donation during the charity auction — Arthur Zahorodnyuk, the Deputy Chairman of the bank’s Management Board, acquired the lot “From those who set us free, for those who lost their home”. The physical manifestation of the lot is the sculpture “Freedom is Our Weapon”, provided to the auction by the “A” Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The bank’s team continues to invest in the youth of Ukraine even after the full-scale invasion. PUMB systematically provides institutional support to the Kyiv School of Economics, and thanks to the bank’s assistance, dozens of KSE students have received grants for higher education.

It is worth noting that during the “Sustaining Ukraine Through Education” charity evening, Ukrainian businesses and private donors raised $537,934 to support education in wartime conditions. The event took place in Kyiv on November 19 and was organized by the educational charity foundation — KSE Foundation.

KSE Foundation works daily to support people and the development of an innovative Ukraine through education, thanks to contributors and partners.
