Students of the Kyiv School of Economics have come together to raise $70,000 to fund a two-month intensive rehabilitation program for 6 war veterans — and give them a chance to return to independent living.

For Defenders with severe traumatic brain injuries and brain damage, this course is an opportunity to walk, speak, maintain balance, and perform basic daily activities without assistance once again.

Anton (33 y.o.) dreams of holding a guitar in his hands again and singing for his wife.

Vitalii (52 y.o.) longs above all to get back behind the wheel, feel the road again, and take his family on the long-awaited trip — just like he used to, when cars were his youthful passion.

Bohdan (24 y.o.) dreams of creating techno music — after rehabilitation, his friends want to gift the Defender a MIDI controller he has long wished for.

Serhii (46 y.o.) wants to drive a car again — to head out into nature or to the sea.

Oleh (31 y.o.) has a special dream — to stand on his feet and dance a waltz with his daughter at her graduation. She is 12 today.

Leonid (59 y.o.) aspires to return to an active life: to work, to travel, to explore the world, and to tightly embrace his loved ones.

Pislya Sluzhby (After Service) Veterans Fund was established in 2022. Its core approach is comprehensive case management support for active-duty service members and veterans — a model implemented by only a small percentage of organizations in the veterans’ support sector.

The Foundation’s work covers physical rehabilitation, particularly neurophysiological injuries (including traumatic brain and spinal injuries), psychological support, leisure and community activities, employment assistance and professional retraining, as well as legal consultations.

We work to improve the veteran support system, reduce suicide rates among veterans, and build a caring community that stands by them.
