These Ukrainians are a shining example of action, courage, and the power of ideas.

⭐️Andrii Batin is a designer, and an initiator and leader of social and urban transformation projects. He is the co-founder of the NGO «Agents of Change», which promotes a new culture of working with public spaces through navigation, reconstruction, and education. In 2021, he founded Holabuda — a platform for open and adaptive design. Since 2022, he has been involved in initiatives such as Design for a Hostile World and Peremebli, which offer accessible solutions for furnishing temporary housing and shelters. Currently, Andrii is leading the «Our Place» initiative, which focuses on restoring spaces and rebuilding communities in war-affected areas — including the Veterans’ Kurin, a dedicated space for supporting veterans.

«With genuine effort, there’s always a way to work on something truly meaningful and valuable to you», notes Andrii.

⭐️Andriy Novikov is a senior researcher at the State Natural History Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv), an expert in taxonomy, biogeography, and DNA barcoding of plants. He leads a project on the digitization of natural history collections and the development of a molecular laboratory focused on DNA barcoding of plants in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Andrii is also actively involved in training students and young researchers, and he works on developing new standards in the fields of botany and biodiversity in Ukraine. His goal is to create an internationally recognized center for the study of the plant world of the Carpathians and to enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian science.

«My best investments have always been those I made in things I truly believed in», emphasizes Andriy.

⭐️Viacheslav Osaulenko is a Ukrainian scientist, physicist by education, and a specialist in computational neuroscience and robotics. He is involved in both fundamental research and applied developments in the defense sector. In 2023, he joined the development of a drone-interceptor, and later independently established a laboratory at an academic institute, where he developed a combat ground drone — monocycle and an innovative turret on propellers. In December 2024, the project received a Ministry of Defense grant at a hackathon, allowing further development. Viacheslav hopes that soon his robot will be tested on the front lines.

«Achieving something extraordinary requires significant effort», comments Viacheslav.
