The Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Charity Foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for the expansion of the network of departments that will provide outpatient rehabilitation services.
According to the Ministry of Health, every year about 200,000 patients need high-quality rehabilitation care. Outpatient evidence-based rehabilitation services will provide military and civilian Ukrainians who have suffered serious illnesses or injuries with the necessary long-term recovery.
Tarashcha Central District Hospital is the first medical institution where the rehabilitation department will be restored within the framework of cooperation. Major repairs have already begun here.
The initiative is implemented at the request of the NGO “Office of Professional Support for Recovery”, the key activity of which today is aimed at the development of outpatient rehabilitation departments in communities.
