Happy to introduce the new winners of the Telens for Ukraine grant program by KSE Foundation this week. We’re sharing their stories and achievements.
⭐️Roman Reznikov is the CEO of Infinity Technologies, an economist, and an entrepreneur promoting quantum technologies in Ukraine. He has many years of experience managing large-scale R&D projects in the IT sector, particularly at companies like SoftServe and Intellias, where he led teams of several hundred specialists. One of his company’s ambitious goals is to create a student laboratory featuring the first quantum computer. He professional focus lies in implementing cutting-edge technologies into practical applications and building a competitive scientific and technological foundation in Ukraine.
«Challenging times are an opportunity to grow. Crises have taught me not to stop but, on the contrary, to strengthen the team, seek new approaches, and think strategically,» Roman emphasizes.
⭐️Kateryna Lopatiuk is an architect, researcher, and a former lecturer at MIT specializing in interdisciplinary approaches to urbanism, architecture, and technology. A Fulbright alumna, she combines data analysis, artificial intelligence, and sustainability principles to innovatively rebuild Ukraine’s devastated cities. She is the author of the project Circularity on the Edge, presented at the Venice Biennale Architettura, which explores the reuse of building materials through remote assessment. Kateryna co-taught a course on urbanism and activism, believing in the power of local communities as agents of change.
«I dedicate a lot of time to education and take on challenging projects where I acquire new skills,» says Kateryna.
⭐️Marina Shkvyria holds a PhD in Biology. She is the chief zoologist at the Kyiv Zoo, a project coordinator at the ICF Save Wild, and a co-founder of the White Rock Bear Shelter. For over 20 years, she has been researching Ukraine’s large predators — wolves, bears, and lynxes — and working to implement modern standards in animal welfare. Her efforts have contributed to legislative changes aimed at protecting wild animals. Marina is also a science communicator and advocate for coexistence with wildlife: she gives lectures, joines podcasts, and creates videos and publications that help shift public attitudes toward animals.
«Don’t be afraid to explore the new. Everything you’ve learned, absorbed, and applied will stay with you and become valuable experience in whatever you do next», comment
