When it comes to furnishing their homes, customers often lean toward foreign manufacturers. However, not everyone knows that the Ukrainian furniture market is also quite substantial, and with each passing year, it offers a broader, more competitive, and higher-quality range of products that are already appreciated around the world.
A striking example is Odisy — a Ukrainian furniture company whose story began in 2015 in Kyiv. The company offers a full production cycle—from concept and visualization to manufacturing and on-site installation. It also produces custom-made cabinetry for homes, offices, retail stores, cafés, and educational institutions.
Thanks to the “CREATE!” grant program, the company’s owner, Inna Medvedchuk, was able to upgrade her production equipment. This upgrade not only improves the quality of the products but also increases overall production volumes.
Inna Medvedchuk is the co-founder and co-owner of ODISY furniture studio and one of the 65 winners of the “CREATE!” program, who received grants to scale their businesses. She used the grant funds to purchase a powerful panel saw center for automatic board cutting, along with specialized software. This investment significantly speeds up the order fulfillment process.
“Thanks to ‘CREATE!’ we were able to upgrade our production equipment and purchase a Holzma-brand panel saw center. With this machine, we’ll be able to complete many more orders and dramatically improve product quality,” says Inna Medvedchuk.
In a video, the entrepreneur shares how her business was transformed following her participation in the “CREATE!” initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, UMAEF, and KSE Foundation, with the support of OschadBusiness and the KSE Graduate Business School.
