    The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is seeking a Grant Development Manager as part of the Create Ukraine program. This role is crucial in securing additional funding for the Ministry’s projects and initiatives by identifying and pursuing grant opportunities from various international sources.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in grant writing and donor relations, preferably gained through work or study in Europe. They will play a key role in diversifying the Ministry’s funding sources and supporting economic development projects through effective fundraising strategies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and research potential funding sources, including international organizations, EU funds, and private donors
    • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors
    • Write compelling grant proposals and funding applications tailored to specific donors
    • Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for funding proposals
    • Create detailed project budgets and financial projections for funding requests
    • Organize and participate in meetings with potential donors and funding partners
    • Monitor funding opportunities and stay updated on donor priorities and requirements
    • Develop strategies to diversify the Ministry’s funding sources
    • Collaborate with the communications team to create materials for donor outreach
    • Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and manage grant reporting processes
    • Analyse the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and suggest improvements
    • Organize donor recognition events and activities
    • Implement best practices in fundraising and donor relations from European experiences
    • Liaise between the Ministry and international financial institutions
    • Contribute to the development of public-private partnerships for project funding

    Core Competencies:

    • Extensive knowledge of international funding mechanisms, particularly EU and other European funding sources
    • Strong understanding of grant writing and proposal development processes
    • Good understanding of international funding mechanisms, with focus on European sources
    • Experience in grant writing and proposal development
    • Solid project management skills, including basic budgeting
    • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with potential donors
    • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
    • Good communication skills in English and Ukrainian
    • Understanding of basic economic development principles
    • Research skills to identify potential funding opportunities
    • Ability to develop and maintain partnerships
    • Awareness of current international development trends
    • Confidence in presenting ideas to diverse audiences
    • Basic understanding of grant compliance and reporting
    • Ability to think strategically and align with organizational goals
    • Creativity in approaching funding challenges
    • Strong ethical standards and commitment to transparency
