The KSE Foundation’s Talents for Ukraine grant program continues to uncover new talent! We’re excited to introduce the latest winners who have joined the prestigious KSE150 ranking!
⭐️Volodymyr Kapustianyk is a scientist specializing in solid-state physics, nanotechnology, and cryogenic research. His scientific interests span both fundamental and applied aspects of physics, including studies of incommensurate phase systems, magnetic multiferroics, scintillators, and photovoltaic materials. Through his efforts, the Department of Solid-State Physics and the «Fractal» Scientific and Educational Center — a hub for nanotechnology research — were established at Lviv University. Volodymyr’s team collaborates with the international scientific institutions and develops materials for Ukraine’s defense and energy sectors.

⭐️Dmytro Petrov is a Ukrainian kiter, designer, and the only producer of large kites in Ukraine. He promotes the construction and flying of kites and aims to make this activity accessible to everyone. He also collaborates with Ukrainian kite teams, creating kites for them. Teams from Ukraine have flown kites at international festivals in many countries. In September 2023, the Ukrainian kite community set a national record by raising the largest flag on Hoverla Mountain with the help of a kite.
«Motivation should come not from people but from actions and events», Dmitro explains.
⭐️Oleksandr Komarov is a Ukrainian Paralympic champion, coach, and social activist dedicated to advancing inclusive sports. At the 2024 Paralympic Games, he won Ukraine’s first gold medal and set a new Paralympic record in the 100-meter freestyle in the S5 category. Oleksandr is also well known for his work with young athletes, having created a program to teach children with disabilities how to swim. His dream is to build an inclusive sports community where every child, regardless of physical ability, has the support to develop and achieve their goals in sports.
