Through Talents for Ukraine, KSE Foundation recognizes talented Ukrainians whose knowledge and experience contribute to the development of science, education, technology, and culture. This week, we present a new trio of winners: a researcher in the field of organic and hybrid electronics, an educational innovator and IT evangelist, and an actor and musician who reinterprets Ukrainian history and cultural memory through creativity.
Khrystyna Ivaniuk is the Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Lviv Polytechnic National University. Researcher in the field of organic and hubrid electronics, with experience in leading and participating in national and international research projects of the department. Her research focuses on the development and investigation of light-emitting heterostructures (OLEDs, QLEDs, WOLEDs, and IBOLEDs), photosensitive devices, and sensors. The work integrates fundamental studies of the physicochemical properties of organic materials with the design and fabrication of functional devices for energy-efficient lighting, display technologies, photovoltaics, and sensing applications.
“If you don’t try, you have already lost — so give yourself a chance and try,” says Khrystyna.
Viktoriia Drofa is a STEM expert with over 20 years of experience in IT, education, and community development. She has developed and is piloting the ESTEAM+C model for integrating STEM and civic education, which is already being implemented in communities. The M.A.K.E. IT STEM project was shortlisted for the «Breakthrough of the Year» category of the Osvitoria.Media Award 2026. She implements educational and social initiatives that foster talent development, technological skills, and opportunities for young people.
“Everything a person can imagine can be brought to life,” emphasizes Viktoriia.
Oleksandr Zaika is a film and theatre actor, singer, and a member of the creative project MUR. He is the frontman of the alternative rock band «Teoriia Rozbytykh Vikon» (Theory of Broken Windows) and a solo artist under the name Licht. He is known for his theatrical roles, including Volodymyr Sosiura in the musical You [Romance] and Kolchyk in Rebelia [1991], both of which explore Ukrainian history and the path to independence. He works at the intersection of theatre, music, and contemporary performative practices, combining stage acting, vocals, and original music projects. His work within the MUR project and his solo project Licht is dedicated to reinterpreting Ukrainian history through music and theatre.
“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. The you of today and the you of yesterday are two different people,” comments Oleksandr.
