Margaryta Paskalova returned from the United Kingdom to transform Ukrainian education. Through the Create Ukraine programme, which brings professionals with international experience back to the public sector, she joined the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
During her studies and work in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, Margaryta participated in international education projects, coordinated multicultural teams, and founded an online English language school for children who were forced to leave the country due to the war.

Today, Margaryta applies her international experience at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She coordinated a working group of more than 60 experts who developed the Concept of a Multilingual Education Model in general secondary education institutions with the teaching and/or learning of the languages of Indigenous peoples and national minorities. At the Ministry, Margaryta also works on promoting the Ukrainian language in schools, participates in developing new English language learning standards for students, and contributes to updating school nutrition standards as part of the reform led by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
Margaryta Paskalova, Create Ukraine participant:
Create Ukraine is an opportunity to return to Ukraine and make a change. Most of my career has been in the public sector, particularly in education, so joining the Ministry of Education and Science was a natural continuation of my professional path. It is an opportunity to work on solutions that impact the lives of thousands of people.

If you also want to be part of change, leave your email on the project website.

The programme is implemented by the Lithuanian Central Project Management Agency in partnership with the KSE Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania and in close cooperation with the Government of Ukraine.
