Twelve teams from different regions of Ukraine, self-built robots, and the opportunity to represent the country at the international level — this is what the national stage of the FIRST Tech Challenge looked like, held in Ukraine for the first time. The event was made possible thanks to the Da Vinci Ukraine grant program implemented by KSE Foundation in partnership with STEM Talent Fund.
The competition lasted for two days at the Technical Lyceum of the Dnipro District in Kyiv and brought together teams from Kyiv region, Poltava region, Ternopil region, and Dnipropetrovsk region. Participants competed for the right to represent Ukraine at the international FIRST Tech Challenge stage in the Netherlands. One of the winning teams was “Technical Dynamics,” supported within the #DaVinciUkraine program.
In 2025, the NGO “Educational Horizons” received a grant from KSE Foundation — over 1,000,000 UAH for equipment procurement. Thanks to this support, teams built seven robots and gained hands-on experience in robotics, Java programming, 3D modeling, and engineering teamwork. The winning team was among the participants.
This year, Ukraine will be represented by three teams at the European FIRST Tech Challenge championship: “Technical Dynamics,” “MORTEX,” and “R2D2 UA.”
Congratulations to the winners, and we are proud that Da Vinci Ukraine continues to inspire young people to pursue STEM and shape Ukraine’s engineering future.
