Dmytro Mykhailiuk is a 10th-grade student at Chernivtsi Lyceum No. 3 who is passionate about chemistry. He became a prize winner of the regional Chemistry Olympiad (1st place) and is actively preparing for the national stage. The Da Vinci Ukraine grant from KSE Foundation and STEM Talent Fund enables Dmytro to prepare more effectively and work with professional laboratory equipment.
He hones his skills at the “Center for the Development of Students’ Experimental Skills,” where school students work in university laboratories, conduct real experiments, and turn theoretical knowledge into practical experience.
The center was established in 2025 on the initiative of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and the NGO “Bukovyna Innovatsiina” within the Da Vinci Ukraine program. Its launch has already delivered tangible results — 27 school students from Bukovyna became prize winners of the regional Chemistry Olympiad.
Dmytro’s story is an example of how access to modern STEM infrastructure helps students develop skills, achieve results in academic competitions, and take their first steps toward a future scientific career.
