Talents for Ukraine by the KSE Foundation supports Ukrainians who are changing the world around them — creating innovations, promoting science, and making culture more accessible to everyone. This week, we introduce you to the winners who explore the materials of the future, restore musical instruments, and create literary and artistic projects. They show that talent, creativity, and inspiration can empower a new generation and make the country brighter.

⭐️Andrii Trostianchyn is a Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Materials Science and Materials Engineering at Lviv Polytechnic National University. For over 20 years, he has been researching functional materials and hydrogen metallurgy, authoring more than 150 scientific publications and 8 patents, and is a laureate of the President of Ukraine’s Award for Young Scientists. He actively participates in international educational and scientific projects (Erasmus+, TEMPUS) and serves as an expert for NAQA and NRFU. Andrii works to bring science closer to society by combining fundamental research, digital technologies, and training the next generation of engineers.

“Technologies change, but the ability to think stays with you forever,” Andrii notes.

⭐️Oleksii Koriukovets is a 17-year-old engineer-inventor from Chernihiv, a resident of the Peremoha Center, and a member of the NGO Eco City Chernihiv. He is working on reviving flutes based on the original designs of master craftsman Oleksandr Shlonychyk, creating his own CNC machine for digital production of musical instruments. Oleksii combines engineering, ecology, and education, conducting workshops on 3D modeling and material recycling, promoting STEAM among youth, and developing local innovation spaces, making technology accessible and understandable.

“Create, even if you’re not sure it will work out. The world is changed not by those who are afraid to break the system, but by those who try to rebuild it,” Oleksii emphasizes.

⭐️Rostyslav Kuzyk is a poet, translator, performer, and cultural manager from Lviv. He is the head of the Art Library. He combines literature with performance, music, and visual art, and creates unique projects such as the literary collective «Gran’» and the poetic-performative project «Stykhiyni.» He is the author of two poetry books and four audio albums, and a laureate of international competitions. He promotes Ukrainian poetry, supports young authors, and helps shape a cultural community. Rostyslav skillfully combines creativity with management, making art accessible and alive for the public.

“For me, what matters most in people is sincerity and authenticity, as well as loyalty and the ability to tell the truth, even when it’s unpleasant,” Rostyslav comments.
