⭐️ Maksym Baida is an orthopedic trauma surgeon, PhD, and Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Intensive Care at the Institute of Postgraduate Education, Bohomolets National Medical University. For more than 15 years, Maksym has worked in traumatology and reconstructive orthopedics. He specializes in limb reconstruction for complex bone defects, using 3D-printed titanium implants, VAC therapy, and custom antibacterial spacers. His research explores how blast injuries affect tissues, aiming to improve the treatment of combat trauma and advance the development of personal protective equipment.
“Simplicity is discipline, not coincidence,” — emphasizes Maksym.
⭐️ Gennadii Starikov is the Commodore of the Kyiv City Cruising Yacht Club, the largest in Ukraine, bringing together over 180 yachtsmen. He is the first Ukrainian captain to reach Antarctica under sail. Under his leadership, in 2024, a rehabilitation program of adaptive yachting for veterans was launched — a social initiative that helps military personnel restore their physical and psychological well-being through sailing. He organized a theoretical course and practical training on 2.4-class sailing boats adapted for people with limited physical abilities.
“The most important life lesson is not to trust words, but to trust actions,” — says Gennadii.
⭐️ Oleksandr Perederii is a pediatric surgeon, PhD student, and founder of LapArt, an innovative 3D solutions hub. He has extensive experience neonatal surgery and intensive care, work with patients in critical conditions and those with rare congenital anomalies. Oleksandr is the author of numerous educational programs — under his guidance, nearly 3,000 students have mastered laparoscopy and surgical skills. He develops 3D simulators, training models to practice life-saving protocols in critical conditions for the military and custom prosthetics for patients with amputations.
“My motto: be brave — boundaries exist only in your mind,” — says Oleksandr.
