A real contribution to strong physics education is when students — even from the most remote towns — get to learn from the same instructors who train Ukraine’s national olympiad team. Thanks to the #DaVinciUkraine grant, UA Physics Online has made this possible for hundreds of students.

The educational initiative by the Tomorrow Charitable Foundation — Online Physics School — offers free online courses in physics and programming for students in grades 8–11 from all over Ukraine. With the support of a grant from the KSE Foundation and the STEM Talent Fund, the program now serves over 300 students, who attend weekly classes in 8 groups at both basic and advanced levels.

The team includes over 15 instructors — olympiad team coaches, scientists, and winners of international competitions.

Thanks to the grant support, the team has developed:

  • Updated preparation programs for the National Multisubject Test (NMT) and physics olympiads;

  • Author-designed special courses on astrophysics, quantum physics, Python for physicists, and more;

  • Over 500 online lessons per year, including homework review and detailed explanations;

  • Learning materials for a summer educational camp soon to take place in the UK for the children of Ukrainian defenders.

What are the results?

  • 100% of Ukraine’s national team members at the IPhO (International Physics Olympiad) are students of the school;

  • 38 of the 75 finalists of Ukraine’s national physics olympiad are school participants;

  • Over 70 finalists of the national school physics olympiad are students of UA Physics Online — 32 of them became prizewinners;

  • School participants win medals at Genius Olympiad, ISEF, IJSO, EOES, INFOMATRIX, and more!

UA Physics Online is about learning without limits. About making the complex clear. And about young people who want to know more than what’s taught in school. We’re proud that, thanks to the Da Vinci Ukraine grant, this initiative has grown and reached even more students.

KSE Foundation works daily to support people and the development of an innovative Ukraine through education, thanks to contributors and partners.
