Durable and high-quality paving for city squares and streets, walkways in recreational areas, and private yards—that’s what the Ukrainian manufacturer of paving stones and concrete products, Komfortbruk, is known for. Located in the town of Liuboml in the Volyn region, the company uses European-standard equipment that meets all national quality standards. Its product range includes its own vibropressed paving stones, as well as construction and decorative blocks, curbs, borders, and other concrete accessories.

Thanks to the “CREATE!” grant program, the company’s owner, Oksana Bortnyk, was able to increase production capacity and operate two production lines simultaneously. This helped reduce product prices and initiated a shift toward wholesale sales.

Oksana Bortnyk, the owner of Komfortbruk, is one of 65 winners of the “CREATE!” program, who received grants to scale up their businesses. She used the funds to purchase three new molds for producing paving stones and garden curbs, enabling the company to boost its production volume by 40% this year.

“These molds allowed us to launch a second production line, which helped us increase our output, create new jobs, and shorten order lead times for our clients,” shares Oksana Bortnyk.

In the video, the entrepreneur explains how her business transformed after participating in the “CREATE!” initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, UMAEF, and the KSE Foundation, with the support of OschadBusiness and the KSE Graduate Business School.

KSE Foundation works daily to support people and the development of an innovative Ukraine through education, thanks to contributors and partners.
